Meet the Health Providers

Valerie Rubin, M.D., F.A.A.P.,
grew up in Walnut Creek, California and completed her undergraduate degree at Stanford University. She graduated from UCSD Medical School and also completed her pediatric residency at UCSD, where she was Chief Resident. Valerie's affiliation with El Camino Pediatrics began in 1997 as a part of a UCSD/ El Camino Pediatrics training partnership. Valerie joined the medical staff of El Camino Pediatrics in January 2002.

Valerie lives in Carlsbad with her husband, Scott, an area director for Younglife, a non-denominational Christian youth outreach. Their greatest joy comes from raising three young sons, Daniel, Peter, and Samuel (their newest addition, born October 2006). Valerie also enjoys reading, running, hiking, and travelling.
