Michelle Dern, M.D., F.A.A.P., grew up in San Diego and attended UCSD for undergraduate education. She completed medical school at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She returned to San Diego for pediatric residency at UCSD and was chief resident. She was a faculty physician at UCSD for nine years before joining El Camino Pediatrics in 2006.
Her special interest is international adoption health care. She is available for pre-adoption consultations and post-adoption comprehensive evaluations. For more information, click here.
Michelle lives in Scripps Ranch with her husband Steve, who is an artist, and their two teenage daughters, Katie and Jenna. In her spare time she enjoys participating in activities with her family, including youth sports, junior theater, and golf.
